Hi there have just come over here after a recommendation from another forum. Good to see you all. Have just purchased a 1993 K reg Renault 19 1.8 Azure cabriolet. Needs some work doing to it but the hood is in excellent condition and is water tight. Which was more important a need for the car than other things as I didn't fancy shelling out on a new hood.
Now for some of the problems.
1. The clutch is slipping, put on revs and car doesn't increase speed.
2. Small hole in panel below rear drivers side light. (Should I patch or replace?)
3. Heater has broken knob and doesn't work on number 3 setting.
4. Has nice interior but has had the front seats replaced with leather ones. But the back are still cloth. Was looking to swap them for cloth to match as the missus is going mad about it.
5. Drivers side electric window clicks but no action from it
6. No action from leccy mirrors at all.
Having said this took it out the other day with the hood down and was able to forgive it all its shortcomings. Can't wait for summer. |

hello, i=s that an 8valve then?
1. could be pedal, cable or more likely the clutcvh itself
2. patch, replacing means the whole back panel
3. heater panel is easy enough to get, could be either melted plug or the rheostat for the lack of speed options.
4. you want leather in the cabby as the clotch goes mouldy but if you want cloth talk to dochertya765 as he will do a swap with cloth for leather.
5. common problem, check the plug in the rubber boot for corrosion apart from that the regulator is buggered again common problem.
6. same as above with the boot issue. |
