I noticed that my fuel tank leaks on a strange spot...as you can see in the pictures.

Anyone had similar problems?
Is it possible to repair it or is it wiser to buy a second hand one? |

what car is that?
its either a clio or megane, but which and what model?
If clio 16V then the pipe ontop has probably popped off as no clips are used to hold it on! |

It's a R5 GTE.
That "thing" I've circeled has no connection on any fuel lines as far as I saw few minutes ago when I jacked the car up.
The small tank connection to main tank seems fine, the pipe that leads from filling cap to small tank seems ok...
I don't know what's the use of that "bump" I've circeled on the sidewall of the reservoir...
But that's where the leak comes from. |

bump looks like the pipe outlet to the aux tank on a gtt but the tanks to far over to 1 side, its not sittign right.
drop it and have a look, I always find the leak to be from above. |

it's leaking from this inlet looking thing, but that part needs to be blocked...
plastic could be welded - cold welding, or liquid metal (that's how we say it here, i really don't know the term for that in uk) |

clean it up first and have a look.
Cold welding is plastic welding here but its still hot enough to light a fuel tank up.
You need an epoxy of some sort.
here we just wouldn't fill the tank anyway more |
