The wee garage I use for MOT and stuff is pretty sound they fixed my cutting out problem. I asked them to look at my rattling exhaust, in case it just needed tightening up. The guy said it was the baffles? and I needed a new exhaust. I've replaced all three parts of the exhaust in the last three years, the tail section just last year. Do I really need to replace the whole thing and WTF are baffles. I dread going to KWIK Fit, for what they would charge. Any help much appreciated. |

Well I took the car to National Tyre and Exhausts. The guy whipped it up on the hoist and after a good look told me that it was a loose bracket and he spot welded the bracket, pushed the baffler back in place and tightened the whole exhaust up. Result-problem sorted. Cost- nothing.
As a Scot and a Fifer, cost nothing means a lot to me !. Nice to know that the big rip off places sometimes come good. |

My local ATS are usually very good for sorting small things for free.
Just depends on the staff in the place.
NEVER touch KWIK-FIT - They are rubbish, and most exhausts they put on nock or blow or both! |
