well first of all you need a host for your images / videos
image shack is a good reliable FREE host for images
http://imageshack.us/
just browse from that site onto your PC to the image u want to host, click host it and it will upload to there server
then it will give you a list of links
i always use the last one in the list, direct link to image
then on these forums and many others you can use image tags
open the tag by typing [img ]
then you copy the direct link from image shack
for example -
http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/2470/img62353ys.jpg
then you close the image tag by typing [/img ]
Note- dont leave a space between g and the ] like i have, i did that so that you can see what to type |

to have an avatar
click on PROFILE right at the top of the page
that will give u a page with the title
Retro-Renault Forum Index ยป phase 1 chamadeywaddy : Private Profile home
under that u see several tabs
public - home - profile - buddy list etc
click on profile
now u see a page with your registration info
and again several tabs
Your profile Preferences Avatar Digests
click on avatar
from there you can upload an image of your own to use but its size must be 100 x 120 pixels or less
or hit the gallery button to chose one from there
then hit submit |

thanks very much,i will have a go and try to put a pic of motor on,its a phase 2 as phase 1 is ill and for sale,cheers again |

i get to the avatar control panel it just says you can
display 1 image,size blah blah,submit or reset,not how to add one,i know i am shite on compootas,help,aaagh my ead hurts |
