Hello
My 1989 Renault 19 makes a sound from the left front wheel.
At first it got louder when i drove faster then 50 km and was really loud at 95 and then got quieter at 105. But now is is getting worse and it starts to humm already at 30 km. It is a consistent humm. I am not sure if it is the differential or the wheel bearings.
Any advise on the fixing of it would be appreciated. I am pretty handy but have never exchanged wheelbearings. Is it hard to get the old wheel bearings out? I haven't noticed any change of the sound in turns.
Thank you kindly. |

sounds like a bearing tbh
you need a hydraulic press to change them. |

This is what i wanted to do, but got the garage to do it all in the end. How do you do it, >take wheel off>tie caliper to spring out the way>take disk off>?? what do i need to undo to get the stub axle off??
