Sadly i missed out on what i hoped would be my first R19 16v over the weekend, so im still on the look out for one.
Im not expecting the world as i dont have much to spend, 300 quid max really. What i do want thou is one that has more body shell than rust, in good condition, and really at least 6months MOT(give me time to sort any problems out before the next one). I would prefer a phase 1, but im not to bothered weather its a hatchback or chamade.
Like i said im not expecting the moon on a stick, but likewise i dont really want a shed. Please bear in mind i live down south, thou i would travel for the right car.
So do you own or know of my next car!?! So i can at last join the R19 16v owners club. :P |

Bidderman - the reason i state no more than 300 quid, is because i dont wanna spend more than 300 quid. I know i can pick up one for that price, im not expecting a minter, and i dont mine spending a little on it if needed, but im not looking to spend loads, as i want my own project.
Neal - cheers for the offer, im waiting on an answer on a phase1 chammy at the mo, but if im still looking when urs comes up for sale, i could be interested.
Please note thou people, thou im waiting on an answer, keep the offers coming, im still on the look out, and have the cash waiting. |

Well i nearly picked one up with 12months MOT for 200quid, sadly he was the other side of the country, and i couldn't get up there, before someone else beat me to it...iv also found another with 12 months MOT, he asking 500 for it, and im going to look at one today with 6months MOT and he's asking 300, so their out there, you just gotta look. |

like I said the car is mot'd until next may, may the 28th 2007.
As always it sailed through the mot no problem.
http://www.retro-renault.com/viewtopic.php?t=7684
I will get some new pics of it today.
It has new back box, new rear discs and pads, leather, front bumper which isn't faded and a few other things.
Things done in the last year, handbrake cables service (although I will do another), toyo proxes T1S tyres, clutch, thermostat, radiator, windscreen (had came unstuck at the botton front corners) and so on, I can't even remember half of it.
What does it need?
1st is tricky to select when hot in traffic, I have a new clutch here which I will fit though, been meaning to do it for a while.
Drivers door opens and closes fine but its dented slightly as the pics show so to be perfect needs a new one.
Under the side skirts the sills are solid, no holes.
At the base of the rear arches theres some rust but its localised, it doesn't go down into the sills.
The bonnets front edge is a bit of a mess from stonechips, I have anothe rbonet with a better front edge but a slight hole around the bonnet vent, but its more presentable.
As for price due to the cars condition and pace and the other boys on here can confirm it I was hoping for about as close to a grand as possible. A lot of time and effort not to mention money has been sunk into the car.
I also have a few short vids of the car as well from a while back. |
