Hey all, a friend at work has just purchased an '02 plate Megane 1 Ph2 Fiji for his missus with FRSH. Not a bad looking car but it's only got the one key and he'd like a second.
Renault want £15 for a new key blade, £90 for radio plip insert and another £80 coding. Am I correct in thinking that the process for recoding a new key to the alarm on the Ph2 is the same as the Ph1.... Hold central locking for 5 seconds... point and click key 1, point and click key 2, doors should lock and unlock?

that procedure is for the transponder ph1 so shoudl be the same as ph2 |

Cheers Chris - Was gonna suggest buying a new key blade from Renault and then recoding a 2nd hand plip off of eBay but I wasn't sure if the IR plip proceedure was the same for the radio plip. |
