Right, well, as my car is now in work, im going to give it a nice paint, get rid of the lacquer peeling from the door, above the exhaust manifold on the bonnet, the spoiler needs a new paint as its faded, and all the car park dents etc, get the body looking spick and span. will post progress pics.

its race bred, withstands heat, pressure, makes the gearbox last a hell of alot longer, it stays on the gears, doesnt wipe off like others, stays the same viscosity in all temperatures, eliminates cold weather drag aswell. lasts 10 times longer than normal gear box oil.

that sounds good as the 16v s suffer from blowing boxes most of the time, basicly it does what magnatec does to the engine as far as i understand ,sticks to the metal like

yea you've got it, i put some on me fingers and it felt so different to regular box oil, just stayed on me fingers, it took like 5 washes to get off me fingers so that i couldnt feel it any more.i have noticed the gear selection is so smooth since the change, so hopefullyit'll do its job and make me box last proper longer.

Right, well im going with a full repaint, as there was too much to try and blend, so a full repaint is the best option, i had the car stuck on the rollers at work today to try and over come the flat spot, its a lack of fuel pressure, sorted that out and its kicking out 120bhp at the wheels, so im well pleased with this result from all the trouble ive had with it and all.

120bhp is good baseline figure for one. when in top nick they are about 125bhp at the wheels so a loss of 5 or so bhp in however many miles and years is pretty good.

What was the problem, tired regulator spring?

Nice one Dan, its so refreshing to see someone actually quote a realistic figure for the power theyre putting out instead of bullshitting.

unplug the FPR's pipe (block it) then you will see how it runs with increased pressure, its still limiter to 3.5 bar though.

But you can give it a squeeze in a vice to up the pressure.

Right, did another rolling road session today, its still got a flat spot with the fpr unplugged and the pipe blocked.any ideas?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right today after the rolling road, I continued doing the filler work, I took the front door locks out, welded in a plate in there place and filled them, I've taken the badges off and filled where they were, pretty much ready fo primer now, then rubbed down and in the spray booth friday night ready for colour on sat morning!!
