Chris - Fair enough, just thought I would check as I might be over your way on saturday and could have maybe picked it up.

BB- I take it thats either the broken one, or it's the one on the car that you're not going to sell then, lol

as long as you've got one that you know works fine then I'll probably take it. How much do you want for it including postage?

PM me if you want.

Chris - I'll have to see as if I go through it'll be with my old man to the football and I'm not sure if he'll want to stop off for a while. Though I would like to see some of these ugly 19's you own Wink Can't think of anything that I'm needing just now, but I'll let you know if I do think of anything.

yeah, it would almost be rude not to visit, lol. I'll have to see though as my old man just heard earlier that one of his relatives he was pretty close to had a heart attack and depending on how things go I might have to go up north at the weekend.

I'll let you know if I'm going to be able to come and marvel at you collection though.

found someone out in bathgate who is breaking a 16v so I'm going to go out there today and get an igniton module off the car. Need to think what else I need as the guy doesn't seem to know too much as when I asked about the ignition module he had to ask where it was, what it was and how much they usually sell for.

I'll update this later when I've fitted the ignition module to let you know if it does the trick.

thats what I said to him so he said I could have it for that much. Going to see if he's got a standard airbox as well as they sometimes go for about £25 and I'm not paying that much.

Went out their and got myself an ignition module and an airbox for £10 in total. I was actually totally wrong about the guy as he does know his stuff and said he has had about 8 Clio 16v's and is breaking 3 at the moment. A nice wee find for whenever I'm needing parts.

Anyway, I got back an put the new ignition module on and it's doing the exact same as before, sparking but no fuel getting in. What else could be the problem? I don't think it's the ignition module now as he said he had it running only 3 days ago.

Could it be something wrong with the wiring to one of the plugs in the ignition module or something?

ah, balls. I've just realised that the ignition module on the 1.4 and the 16v have the same part number (on euro car parts anyway) so I could have saved myself £5 if I had tried switching them before I went and bought the other one. I'll try the one from the 1.4 anyway just incase the other one I bought was a dud as well.

shit, cheers for the help anyway. I'll have a spy at it tomorrow and see if I can find anything. I presume there's no fuel cut off switch on the car that I could have knocked?

I keep trying to think what I might have done in the period of doing the compression test and draining and re-filling the oil that could have caused it, but I can't think of anything.

definately hear it priming. Don't know about the injectors as I've not had anyone else helping me so couldn't check properly by myself, though I did try (and that was a sight, lol). I'll check that tomorrow. I even put a bit more petrol in today just incase I hadn't put in as much as I thought.
