read some other great facts about the discharge of the huge orange ext. fuel tank on the shuttle, during the firing of those engine.....ridiculous figures...see if i can find them
i am so impressed by 'large' technology like this..how it all works so well on such a volatile level. and amazingly, that engine was designed in the 70s. |

seriously thou what a buzz those astronauts must get when taking off with all that power under them.
i would love to know the cost of just test firing one of those engines and then imagine how much it costs to launch one . . . unreal |

Anyone stood next to a Saturn 5 rocket? foooooooooooooooookin HUGE. Hard to convey the sheer size of it without actually seeing one up close. |

Rolls Royce is just over the train line from us. They used to fire the jets up at 3am to test them, they woke everyoen up. Sounded lovely though! |
