righty, i am in 2 minds about a little problem i have so i am gonna turn it over to you the jury to decide the best course of action.
As you know, my blue ph2 valver is sick.
A: cracked block
B: mashed valves in head
C: leaking power steering rack
D: Worn steering column
E: rust starting to come thru on rear arches and sills
Also my white ph1/ph2 valver is sick
A: Fucked gearbox
B: Rust starting to come thru on one arch
C: general condition is tatty
D: parts of the wiring loom are in terrible condition
the plan is make one good car out of the two of them and scrap whats left of the donor car but which car is the donor and which car is the keeper? |

Which is the cheaper option?
I like the ph2 tbh, ph1 would need respray? |

the white one is just dirty and could do with a t-cut, dont think it really needs a respray, just a tidy up
i could put all the good bits from the ph2 onto it like the leather seats and zorst for example |

I say make the P2 good with the engine from the P1/2.

all these things can be done at the same time as you will have the engine out anyway. The rust issue is minor and you can sort that at any time.
Plus it means you can sell me the white bonnet |

better overall nick would be the best route, but the ph1 16V is rare as it was only made for 1 year!
loom etc isn't hard work either |

you would not want it, it has a crease at the front in line with the top of the lights. |

Don't have two but will have at some point.
The Phase 1 is going to have a face lift. Although I'm not in a hurry, so I can wait for quallity bits. |

Once again, I see this does not meet with your approval Chris.
It's either that or I put the P1 bumpers and skirts on a P2. (might be a better option if the P1 is getting rarer?) |
