Well the main reason for the 16v bonnet is my bolt on.
As I have the shitty standard air box I had to get a Green bolt on to make that beautful induction noise. The 16v scoop allows air to get to it, instead of the hot engine air
Works a treat too. |

Well I am sure it's different to you engine and they way the air goes in. Mines sits on the top of the carburettor and "bolt's on", hence the name.
But £80
Damn impulse buys, ah well I did a silly amount of overtime that month so why not? |

Well my step dad made a real tit's up job of it
It had to go as he drilled the boot and fucked up the hole positioning so it was wonky and then he decided to use fucking bathroom seelant all over it.

Yep. As far as I know all Phase 2 1.4's have injected version of the engine fitted.
I believe carburettor Energy's were only used in Phase 1 19's. |

Well the grill is in the garage. It will go on soon.
I have something else to do first
Thanks for the comments
Yes it is a 1.4 RTI. JB worked it out to do 40mpg I got 350 miles from £35 worth of petrol. This was not all slow driving either some rapid driving and some no so.
I mean you can get it chipped and it would maybe do even more to the gallon.
It's a great car, not the quickest of things, but it's good enough for me |
