Some of u may not know, but ive taken the F7R out of the clio...after only 2months!! the reason is i bought a set of throttle bodies and ECU of a mate up home. THEN i thought i may as well get some forged pistons and get a little more power.
The bodies are jenvey 45mm, and they are short (30mm) so i can adjust trumpet length more effectively. The pistons are Accralite 83.5mm to give a CR of around 12.5:1 as specified, but this will be confirmed this week.
The block was taken today to get machined to accept the new pistons. then its a case of some build work and slap it back in. I may have access to an engine dyno, so i can sort the mapping BEFORE its fitted...but we'll see
Anyway, the pistons arrived today, heres a few pics kindly hosted by Neal...cheers fella |

So stan, is that jenvey unit specifically for the F7R engine? Or are you just gonna make it fit? If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the throttle bodies from, and how much? |

throttle bodies are manufactured for general applivation...i.e they r for any engine. manifold is for F7R. pistons were £435 inc delivery and VAT. i got the T.B;s and ECU at a special price.......£700 for the lot...its only 3 months old and the recepist for the bodies alone is £1000, ECU is £700
im a bit pissed now, so i'll speak better 2mnoro |

The bodies and ECU are unused but 2nd hand yeah. a mate bought them for his 2.0 fiesta 3/4 months ago, and never fitted them. the total cost to him (i have reciepts ) is £680 for the ECU, and £996 for the bodies and all the accesories except injectors and manifold. i got a megane DCOE short manifold of eebay for £56, and i just sold the zetec one shown in the pic for £117 on ebay!!! |

nice one wee man, bargain and good sale!
What injectors you gonna run?
You checked the CR of the pistons yet? They 12.5:1 or higher/lower? Smooth the edges off the things anyway! |
