gentle ben has never received any headwork from me.
Only users on here that have are Soneji, Meddy Clio and Doc.
Only one thats actually measured the improvement is meddy clio who got 86bhp at the fly which is 13bhp up on standard.
Whats the point? The heads useless apart from another SPI car as the MPI heads are different.
The head will never sell either.
So unless you plan to get another 1.8 RT (why would anyone want to?) theres no point.
What happened to that cvh head you had? |

you had a cvh head ages ago which you were arsign around with.
the MPI head has holes machined into the head for the injectors. |

i didnt say they were. just they can get bent in the post, and lets face it, it may have a crack in them that you cant see, tbh the vlves are only £3 a piece so its not really worth buying second hand ones |

those are tappets and they are shimmed.
seer the line round the side abotu 4mm down? Thats the shim, its held on by the oil, it vacuum seals itself.
Hold the shim and turn the bottom bit, see just to prove they are seperate!
and yes they go in the same place they came from. |

if you want real bling, try alloy wheel cleaner on the head...i havent tried it personally but seen the results...works well, but a bit expensive i think. |
