these cars are amazing. reliable as sin and nearly as quick as a 16v. also more reliable i luv my phase 1. will get some pics up of this brilliant machine very soon . |

i never said it was quicker than a 16v obviously not .but compared to an astra or similar 1.4, im quite lmpressed .one thing the 1.4 will still be running after a 16v engine has split its sides thats why ill keep a 1.4. |

ha ha ha look at the link giving it stick give it limiter fuk the 1.4 the 16v wiil eat it all end s up what about a 1.4 civic or a 1.3 323f mazda i had one used to do 118 reliable as sin jap cars are reliable and faster i know im gonna get killed here sayin that but its true |

I mind my sky blue one would keep up with soneji in his white hatch, it was fucked though, 105 was the most you could get from it and the 1.4 sailed by it at top end. Also the trick with the sonejis white hatch was whenever it went over 90 smoke came out and the brakes stopped working, I reckoned it was a dodgy m/c and servo allowing brake fluid to get burned in the engine!
About 10 pumps before they started working again. great fun. Then it got nicked by 2 coppers.
Also the 1.4 if in decent health will go beyond 110 mph by a good bit.
Only 1.4 I have known to actually really bother the 16Vl;s was sonejis white clio which i done headwork on, that was a beats of an engine, wouldn't idle right and ate its clutch within 1500 miles of the head being done. |
