whose scared of them? I am scred shitless of them for some reason....cant stand them...
went into the bathroom the other night just to brush teeth and in the sink was this mother of a spider...made me jump...(girl i know) it was so big id say its leg span was a good 2-3 inches....horrible...
anyway problem was my dad was away so it was just me and my mum...she was asleep anc cant deal with them anyway...so it was up to me...i paced for ages thinkin what the hell to do...i cant just pick them up. was gunna do the cup and card trick but there was no way the cup would sit over him on the curves of the sink without leaving a gap for him to run out of...so i was getting freaky, couldnt just ignore him and go to bed cos i hate the thought of it being in the house...
so i put the tap on (with a pole) ran the tap for about 15 mins in total and the bastard wouldnt fit down the plughole he was so big...and when u turn the tap off he just got back up...wouldnt drown!!
finally i had an inspirationl idea...i got a bit of hoover tube, the solid extension bit....taped up one end and gradually lowered this over him...bit of card and id got him...out the front door!!
this fiasco took me 45 mins....not happy
then this morning...the beast was back!!! this time when my mum went to brush her teeth...she picked up the beaker and he climbed out of that !!!
so she did the same thing with water....she put the plug on him and filled the sink with water...hours later when my dad got back he let the water out and the thing was STILL alive, amazing....but he can just pick them up with his hands and throw em out....so he did...no doubt it will return... |

One ran out from behind my monitor at 1am last night and ran round my keyboard, made me jump....about 10 seconds later it was squished. |

I can sympathise with you.
Im not really scared of them but i run when those big mothers come at you!! All stems back from the time this big bugger ran out from some logs i was moving and bit me!
Anyway the buggers wont die. Theres this spider thats made its home behind the passenger side wing mirror. No matter how many time i jetwash the damn cobwebs off, powerwash behind the mirror, even FART on it, it just wont die.
Remove the cobweb on the moday back on the tuesday.
WHERES IS THE BLOODY THING HIDING!!!!

lol my mrs hates the things as well her sisters even worse she screams and cries lots.
There big ones in our flat which appear now and then and I wind her up about them.
I can pick them up and throw them out.
I don't like them but I am not scared of them.
Apparently its a natural instinct to be scared of spiders and other creepie crawlies because of them being poisonous etc. Like lions etc fear of pointed sticks, inbuilt survival mechanism.
i don't have it, I will one day no doubt get bitten by a spide rnad die, or play with a boa constrictor thats hungry (my mate Kirks turned on him the other week, 5 foot long thing this so not even fully grown) or a lion will look at me wrong and I will have a go and punch the bugger and it will eat me.
Thew megane seems to sprout small spiders from the interior which is nice as well.
The prima is covered in spiders webs cos it does nothing. |
