Who on this forum has the fastest R19 16V using the F7P engine bigger engine conversions would be cheating.
I believe if you modify a car you enhance the power on the cars original engine rather than drop in a bigger lump. Who can prove me wrong ??? |

well what do you mean by fastest? All my ph1's have hit the limiter in 5th, so to go faster the limiter would need to be raised.
But they won't do 0 - 100 in 10 seconds so no they are not fast. |

How long does it take to hit the limter in 5th?
I find the Clio gets upto 110 failry easy but after that acceleration starts to slow down a bit and I bail lol. |

Erms, it's got a de-cat and ITG filter.
It's a Valver though so is capable of a lot more than 110.
Have done 105 in 4th :p |

not bad finchy for making your engine breathe a bit better. I prefer the K&N than the ITG filter. |

Soz, forgot to add it;s a panel filter mate, not a cone filter.
Apparently ITG are the best, but oh well.
115Mph, in 4th
Can't keep m,y foot down that long, it's French. |

142mph in the current hatch (so prolly about 130mph real speed) and roger was with me when we hit 130mph in GYP and had to slow down to get off the exit road (on private test tracks of course) |

Only managed 120 on the 19 so far, damn rover drivers have a habit of darting out into the fast lane. Im probably totally wrong but @ 3500 in 5th im doing 75 so in theory if it would hit the limiter in 5th she would be doing 150 on the clock. |

we have done extensive testing of this chip, Mick is a member of these forums as well (the seller of that chip)
It was our conclusion that yes this chip does improve the power of the 19 16v and does increase the rev limit, it does not remove the limit altogether thou |

Got one of those Ebay Chips uni cone filter and a de-cat on the ph1 and it seems to pull smother and stronger particularly mid range although I doubt those bits have made a huge difference to BHP or Torque in terms of figures. The cars probably down on origional BHP anyway due to the milage, I almost get the feeling the mods make up for the loss of power over age (could be wrong though).
Apart from that I've never had it above 130 ish really, don't really need to since most of my mates are still driving things like 1.0 106's and stuff, I don't usually need to rev past 4k and still stay well in front lol. |
