wow a clio sedan...why is it some countries get these variants and we dont...we almost get sheltered from them as if they dont want the uk market gettin interested in the slightest...surely if they are makin them they should offer them over here...its more sales after all.
i remember my old headmaster from infants had a ren 12 (?) a horrible turquoise colour it was too. |

the clio sedan seems to be very successful in Eastern Europe, we also don't get this car in Germany. but you see loads of them in the Czech Republich for example.
the car is named Thalia, but there is another name for it in some countries (have forgotten it). |

Shame not many renaults are rallied in the UK these days 'cept the clios.
I do radio marshalling for the Scottish Rally Championship so my 19 gets a good thrash through the stages every month or so, think that's the only renault you'll see rallying in scotland!
(I should add that I'm not a competitor & I ALWAYS stick to the 25mph speed limit imposed on non competitive vehicles & I've NEVER hit 70mph on a narrow forest track, honnest )
I remember the 1st car my parents had after I was born was a white R14 with red velour interior, they bought it new and had to scrap it after a 5 years because of the rust! - no wonder you hardly ever see them about any more. |
