isnt the 0-60 the same as the clio 182?and the weight seems to be a lot heavier than the 19 considering its a smaller car.what a dissapointment |

and,you take a sierra cossie over 15 years old 202/220 bhp and it would beat a 197 with not much more power! |

They try to go back to old skool hot hatch lightweight minimalism with the 'cup' variants or whatever - some of the aircon and other crap removed to save weight, but unfortunately the lard is fundamentally built into the car.
Nice if you particularly need the doors to shut with a weighty clunk sound though. |

0-50 maybe but there a lot faster getting to there top speeds than the 19/clio.
and they can get a stupid chip that gives them 75 bhp for a couple of hundred quid.so unfair |

I meant 60, doh!
19 16V is 7.2 to 60.
they can't get any chip to give them 75bhp for a few hundred. |

standard cossie will get to 60 in the 5's matey.
Also cossie power is easy and cheap, I miss them. The pish manifold on them helped bring the power down from cosworths original testing which was 320bhp back in 83 ish. Good old YBA which had the funny cam cover and tubular manifold. road cars got the shite set up. |

because it costs a LOT of money to develop a whole new engine
Besides, 197 from a production N/A 2.0 aint too shabby - the Civic type R is the same! |
