She's still running standard 16v dampers at the minute. I'm after some adjustables for all four corners next but they're not as important just yet and I refuse to pay £400 for htem new.
The old box as it turns out was proper fekked!! I've still got to get some pics but the diff internals were mashed, the main bearing circlip has snapped and 3rd gear is missing a huge chunk. New box was fitted and coupled with the B&M shortshift I paid £50 for and it feels so nice through the gates and can't wait to use it! Just gotta stick the down pipe back on, refill fluids and bleed up the brakes and she's back!
Oh Chris, the gearbox dis-assembly took me about 2 hours on Sunday morning... boshank!! (OK, I was told how to do it but still a lot less time than a month ) They look damn hard but once you get your teeth into them they're pretty easy to fek about with. I hate gearbox oil though... smelly shizzite!

takign it apart is easy mick, i never said it wasn't! Its an hour job to take it apart, putting it back together takes ages espeically if its 20 mins a night! |
