hmm paste/grease slapped on would have sorted it
You heard the new crap about the latest gen GDI cars etc? Failing their first mot's due to the gas content not fitting in with VOSA's idea of clean combustion.
Bloody joke. |

right well, speedo cable, gear box mount, crank sensor, throttle cable, have all been replaced slowly but surely, so nice to have a speedo again!
Heres the damage on the bonnet the gearbox mount failure caused:

right well havent updated for a while, ive opted for a turbo conversion as im in no rush for the beast, its going to have Laguna F3R Pistons as i remember Chris saying they were dished so ideal for a reasonable boost setting, im manufactoring the exhaust manifold myself, going to try and do that as my University project hehe. as well as the down pipe! |

Right. well as my engine is near enough finished and all i need is the crank out of the engine that is in the car at the moment, so today i got it down into the workshop to get started on it while i wait for the engine hoist:
The car in the Barn:

The huge scratch mum put in it

Oh and the Retro-renault stickers arrived after getting lost in the post 8 Months ago!
ANd the engine ready for removal, all disconnected etc etc, and looks like the WD 40 i sprayed in the bores dried up, and i couldnt open the bonnet due to where my dad parked it right under a tree!
