Yep, ignore Neal.

If you run the engine hot, does the radiator get hot too? If it doesn't your thermostat is not working.

If you've got a leak in the head, you'll have to replace the head gasket and if your head isn't straight then you'll have to get it skimmed before putting into place.

nah i aint gone to the dealer and weren't never gonna go. I knew neil woz chattin shit. i might not be mechanically minded but i ain't fuckin stupid. i do know a bit.

Whats leaking from the head? Is it water? If it is, then surely you would need to be topping up every week, but you have said that your not loosing any.

Its totally shaged. The head gasket needs changing. So its up for sale!!!

Yippeeeee. i took it to my uncle and he put it up on the ramp and had a proper look and it turned out to be a dodgy thermostat and the seal woz nearly non-existant. So the car AIN'T up for sale any more. I'm so happy. and if i do ever need any more advice i'm pretty sure i won't be askin neal!!

personal fav is the glass hammer, then when thay say "thers no such thing as a glass hammer" you say "yes there is, its for hitting glass" off thay trundle to find it. Smile

all reminds me of a story a mate told me...when he was a young appretice and they used to have coffee out of them plastic dispenser cups...some ppl would leave them on the floor and the foreman would come along and kick them sayin stop leavin such a mess!!!

so my mate turned a steel cone the exact shape of the cup, put it in the cup and left it on the floor upside down so it just looked like another cup...

foreman comes along..."CLARKEY...i told you about leavin fuckin cups on the floor!!" went and took a big swing at it .......you can imagine the result!!!
