Well, initially what I wanted was more torque and lower down the revs. Since this is going to be hard to achieve I just may as well go for more bhp since this easier to achieve.

What is available from the Chris H menu of headwork?

With decent headwork you get the gains everywhere so you will get more low down power.

Whatever you want really.

New guides, valves, seats (multi angle), studs and so on however I have yet to find a replacement machine shop I trust but I'm looking.

Basically a cheap job would mean, head cleaned, all valves cleaned up to new condition, valve seats cleaned, chambers cleaned up, ports cleaned up, waterways cleared (they are often blocked), and improved if you send the manfiolds along with it I will match them to. Valves all lapped in for a perfect seal etc. I can also de-flash the rockers and clean them up etc, makes them a tad lighter and also refinish the rocker arm tips. However if they are fecked then they are fecked basically.

Should get 10% from that anyway, its easy to get gains from on the energy head. Powers better throughout the rev range and fuel economy is usually better as well. You need to sort out the fueling at your end. Mixture will need adjusting and the idle speed may change especially if the head was poor when I got it as it should be running better. However remember the bottom end if theres hole in the piston and the cranks flopping about then it will nto give the power it could.

Stick it on a dyno before you send me a head then stick it on it when you get it back and i'll eat the thing if it gives less power if its been set up right.
