Right well i prised the zoom buttons out of the camera and used a scalpel to slightly unfuck the zoom in button membrane switch so that it now works (just). Not pretty anymore though!
the terminal wires of the bulb sit underneath the copper contacts which are moulded into place. A bit of deft soldering would be required to fit a new bulb. Hard, certainly, but not impossible. |

how did you do it? the original bulb is stamped onto the contacts, I can't even get a finger into it.
How did you attach the bulb? |
you got big fingers mun ,use a small size flat bladed to push them under the plates |

I used a tiny little tool that looks like something a dentist would use and a pair of needle nose tweezers. Bulb came out easily, it was just sitting under the contacts. Took the contacts out soldered the new bulb on then very gently battered it back in place with one screwdriver being used as a small hammer on the end of a small flathead screwdriver.
PS. Neal, I was going to suggest taking the batteries out of your camera for a while then try new ones in it |

if anyone can get their fingers on the hazard light switch then they are either little girls of gay boys!
I never said its impossible its just not easy and its impossible for me as I would just bounce it tbh
Other switches though take seconds and theres no need to unplug the switch. |

i am the daddy
as i got nothing to do at work today ,i brought the hazard switch with me to the office with my mini screw driver set . after trying to stick the wires under the plates for ten minutes and no joy ,it just clicked
what the ferk am i doing trying to stick damm tiny wires
and came up with this idea ;
piss easy job ,i just cut the restrictive side wallon the indicator to the bottom and got it out . now those plates are just infront of me and i can literaly touch them with my fingers ( will take pictures of what i mean when i get home )
lifted the 2 plates with a mini flat head screw driver and stuck the wires coming from the bulb underneath each plate making sure they are going through the holes (just to make double sure that they will keep connected.
i could have soldered them as well if i had a soldering gun but no need for that really
once the wires are under the plates press the plates down with screw driver again to give extra tension on the wires . job done
what about the bit we cut out tidyly with stanley knife ???
just use super glue and stick it back on ,make sure u dont use shit loads of super glue as it will burn the plastic and turn into shitty white color
but heyy that part i cut of and stuck back on remains at the back of the dash ,so no worries if it goes white ,you will never see it again |
