go get the injection then go back out to the waiting room for 10/15 mins, let him give another patient a check up.

The jag will have started to work by then.

ah fuck....the plot thickens.....the filling i went for today was goin well til it started fuckin hurting...she then told me she cant go further without performing the dreaded root canal!!!!

so i got stuff put on it, temp filling that looks like i got chewing gum stuck on my teeth....and got to go back to have it all fucked out....and of course it is gunna cost silly more money....sigh....

ah well...end of the day its only teeth...not life threatening or anything...just a complete pain in the arse.

ROGER - go get it sorted before its too late like me...

get it taken out mate. I have yet to meet anyone who has had a root canal that worked.

I assume its a molar and not your front top muncher.

yeah right at the back....well im gunna go with it for as long as i can...rather not loose the tooth...will get a ceramic crown i think, which is hopefully stronger than the original tooth....either way im fucked off.

mine has been giving me a dull pain today..

nothing like it has been, but its uncomfy thats for sure..

the worst is at night..

oh boy it hurts..

thankfully, my nan gets these tablets off precription..(sp?) and there the strongest tablet with out injection, very hard to get on (another bad attempt at spelling this) perscription (sp)

so i just OD on them and go to sleep, they brilliant. only thing i can take that takes away 100% of the pain.

make sure the dentist is not a student JB , one of them student dentists made my teeth even worse .

since than i decided ,i will never go to another dentist but my one in turkey . he is a great guy ,he apologises million times everytime he makes an injection etc .

if i was to take your engine out, and drop it, rebuild it with bits of crap down
the bores and give it back to you, forgetting to tell you that i havent put oil in it yet

Roger, best thing I've found so far for a sore face is a hot water bottle (obviously not too hot)! Helps with the pain and regular paracetamol or ibuprofen!

all water bottles are at my nans.

along with the co-driadamole (mega spelling mistake but sounds the same)

there the pain killers i take..super stong, like i say.

but! thanks for advice, ill bring one back when i go there next,

prolly tomorrow.

well im in a lot of pain now the numbness is wearing off as she said i would be....hope it doesnt last long.... Sad

i bought a pack of Paramol....i just went to the chemist and asked for the best they had...doesnt seem to be doin fuck all...unless without them id be even worse!!

takin painkillers for u roger is not the thing to do...its hurting cos its bad...its will not get better...only worse...sort it mate.

2yrs on and not a single problem with it

My dentist is great, shes american and really nice. Keeps apologisin too lol altho i have to keep tellin her she didn't hurt me!

Just remember, its your mouth and if you're not happy that you're numb enough say so.

I think i told you about gettin them to stick the stabby pokey thing in your gum to test. I had to get a filling in my front tooth a few months back and i wouldn't let her near it until i felt my eye gettin numb lol Now that i think about it i had a cold and i had to keep askin her was my nose runnin cos i couldn't feel it Very Happy

I got 7 fillings that day, most were old ones redone.

I got a wisdom tooth pulled last time i was in and i got to keep it Very Happy

Despite never having any problems with her (2 teeth pulled, about 9 fillings and a root canal) i still have a dreadful fear of going. Actually i did have 1 prob once, from the x-ray she thought the nerve was dead the whole way for the root canal and i didn't get an injection, it sucked when she hit the nerve!It was months later when i was talkin to her that it came to light i shouldn't have felt it! I said nothing at the time because i had heard root canals were bad and assumed i was supposed to feel it!

I remember me and chris having exposed nerves in our teeth at the same time ages ago. Its by far the worst pain i've ever felt. Was tellin JB how i had pain flashbacks and nightmares about it for 6 month after i got it out. I gave up sugar, fizzy drinks and almost all sweets straight away too.

I hate teeth, they're pointless.

BTW hanna has no fillings whatsoever, which i find amazing

i had a filling once when i was about 9? 10?

week later the tooth came out.

kinda pointless

but since then, not had any problems untill about 4 months ago when i made this hole in my tooth..

oh, and i had a bike crash once, and chipped/cracked the front bottom tooth.

I have a dodgy tooth and always get abcess on it, when it hurts bad the only thing I can do is suck ice lollies, it makes it shrink, I can hear it pinging as its releasing pressure from my gum.

i have a friend whose had root canal and a ceramic crown...says its better than the original tooth!

i had stuff put in the hole last night, then a temp filling on top...the stuff is to kill the nerve...hurt like feck last night but seems to have gone now, so hopefully thats done its job, and when i go back it will be painless...

still even now, its marvellous to be able to swill cold water round my teeth without it huting Smile

not blaming dentists of other nations here ,i came across to lots of turkish butchers that would pull your teeth using pliers etc.

and yes root canal jobby works if done properly ,i have one done 9-10years ago ,never had problems with it
