the non 16V shocks are longer than the 16V ones, only abotu an inch at most. Normally you can tell but thats a bit much.

Did you let the handbrake off roll it back then forward again?

i had a short test drive after fitting the shocks ,so yes i did let the handbrake off . is there a way to find out if the fella i bought the shocks of on ebay sent me wrong ones apart from checking the old ones to the new ????
the old ones by the way are 2 different makes ,one is a decarbon not sure what the other is

the decarbon is the right one so comapre that to them. Its not hard jack it up slightly and ckeck the bodies lengths against each other. If the new one is 5 inches longer you have a problem.

if its felling better whats the problem?

The dampers will probably have a returnspring in them which will make the car sit higher than a non spring return one or one with equal bounce and rebound rates.

bumpstops are longer when lowered an inch or 2 they are on the bumpstops. a 16v is about and inch or so lower.

its not to bad until you hit potholes etc, getts skittery on rough high speed corners.

easy way to see is puch down ont he back, bumpstosp will make it feel pretty solid

ok as you can see i am a man of my word ,here are the emails between me and the seller . i sent him the pictures of the car before and after the shocks fitted but never told him which picture is which ,cause i am cheeky like that ,

hi there ,
just fitted the rear shocks you sent for my 91 renault 19 16v chamade
and there
has been a big difference with the ride height which does not seem to be =
right

i am sending you the pics of the car withold shocks and new ones on so
that you
can see the difference too .
i am a bit worried these may not be the right parts for my car

these shockers ar 100% correct for your car and are gas shocks hence the
lowered back end trust me mate they are ok

no you got me wrong !! the car is not lowered ,its higher than it was
before and
thats not the right ride height for a 16v model
brgds

These are the only shockers for your car , We do not list any other shocker and they are
specificly for 16v . Thanks
