Remember to do a custom install of quicktime and select everything! Then to run it go to c:\Program Files\dialogies\dialogies.bat
Lost count of how many times I installed and reinstalled and uninstalled it. Also didn't seem to like having the Java SDK installed. |

Mine installed first time without problems but not this time! Going to take a ghost image of this thing as soon as I've got everything installed again! |

I had the same problem when i installed it for the first time.
The version of Java you have will be a later version which is not compatible.
If you have the same dialogies disc i have then there will be a java installer on the disc.
You need to completely remove the version you have on there already through the control panel, add/remove programs.
Then install the version off the disc, then install Dialogies. |

Don't think so. Think it's the Java that's the main issue. |

I have confirmed that it can't run using the most up to date Java Runtime Environment. Also, you have to install Acrobat 4 coz it's hard coded in to look for it! You can of course install the latest version along side it. Doesn't have any issues with the latest Quicktime. |

Have you seen the Rover 'Rave' equivalent / technical manual CDs?
Bloody amazingly good in comparison! |
RAVE was/is a great system but with it being PDF based means it's limited as a database. I've got the MG/R 2001 edition from my Rover days which was not far off the last one made bar a few tech updates but it also proves that any monkey can get a job with a main dealer which is really scarey.
I've just got a version of Dialogy's from the Chunkster so will have to get around to install it but from what I gather, it's all vehicle specific and works on chassis/reg numbers rather than engine/gearbox codes and trim levels like the Rover system.
