Would be intrested to know th mpg for my TD. Best I've ever got out of her me thinks is a full car of 5 adults from Aylesbury to Alton Towers and back (about 270 miles) in just over 1/2 a tank. |

Have had around 450 miles to a tank driving on my lonesome or with the wife. I can probably figure this out. How many gallons does the TD hold? |

Just thought I would clarify on yesterdays post a little bit.
My great gran is 108 this year so the end IS nigh. (And she wont let us forget it)
I could try and get the time off for the scottish meet and come up I guess. Just take the week of and do the family thing too. |

Yep 12.098 to be precise .
so 450 miles to 12.1 gallons = 37.19 mpg (that's shit)
270 miles to say 7 gallons = 38.57 mpg (crap)
Best I got out of my diesel was 53 or 54 mpg only went down to about 47 mpg at worst. |

LOL, funny Chris! No haven't got another car yet, fucked right off too because of that. Have been looking at a Cavalier 1.8i, they want £250 for it, body's almost perfect, little surface rust round one rear wheel arch, needs a cambelt, radiator fan switch and a back box. Drives ok. Taxed til the end of the month MOT til end November. |

what engines in the cav? 8v or 16V? If 8v you'll need to add water pump to the list! |

Um, no....have looked at Fiestas but couldn't possibly drive a 1.1 Need something a reasonable size with the family and couldn't cope with driving to Inverness in something even less powerful than the 19. Plus, can't find anything at that price that's got an MOT or Tax.
Looks like I'm going to have to wait a while for the TD, friends spent all her savings and not sure what she want's yet. |
