Neo - Dont bother with that phase 1
Ive just been to look at it. The owner wasnt there but his mum was. She gave me the key and told me I could start it up. I thought id check a few things first.
Good job I did, when i opened the bonnet (for which i had to pull on a cable tie sticking out the front grille because the bonnet release didnt work), i didnt like what i saw. There was no coolant in the bottle at all and the dipstick revealed the sump to be full of mayo. Proper foamy beige coloured mayo. I told the woman i wouldnt bother starting it, and advised her not to let anyone else do so either.
Now, the engine doesnt bother me, Id just drop another one in if the rest of the car was good.
It isnt.
Its got bumps and scrapes all over it, just generally a shed really. |

shame that one of the really nice looking black valvers on there is in edinburgh, just too far away. |
