Ive now got 3 of the pistons fitted:
All rings and bearings installed:
piston in the piston ring compressor:
the reason only 3 have been fitted is that one of the oil rings was broken upon arrival, but i am getting a replacement foc. |

well ive finished the porting, i have a freind in a local company, that has a flow bench, so i may have it stuck on there to see what the gains are, but tbh i cant be bothered lol so its not happening!
Anyway another update:
all valves ground in and installed, just currently cleaning out the lifters. |

no its perfectly true, the marks on the top is where io was cleaning it up with the nylon brush attachment in the dremel.
UPDATE:
Head fully built up, all lifters cleaned and bled, and OMG i couldnt believe how much lift the valves have!! very pleased! Just need a headgasket now to get the head onto the block. |

they don't lift that much, you see 0.6 inch lift on v8's etc. |

Right, gradually been gathering bits and pieces for the engine;
Starter heatshield, Yellow injectors, and a TPS
[img:640:480:3e438ee3f3]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/danlp6/DSC01939.jpg[/img:3e438ee3f3]
Headgasket set £32 off ebay
[img:640:480:3e438ee3f3]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y237/danlp6/DSC01938.jpg[/img:3e438ee3f3]
Now the engine is coming together:
The crank going in:

All the big ends etc torqued up:

The fly is now on with new bolts and it now turns nice and freely |
