I think i'll just get it from their website, will work out cheaper than locally even with postage.

This is the alt belt I need isnt it?

your gunna have to tension the belt another way. try using a screw driver to push the tensioner outwards, so the belt tightens up. a complete arse of a job wen u cant use the normal mehtod. gunna take a while to find somthing suitable

it is an arse...its jus fuckin tight...all u can do is sweat and do it...just make sure the tensioner is slack as it can be....and if u cant get that bolt out thats is real unlucky as it is dead handy for tensionin....id get it out no holds (holes?) barrred and not stick the orig wire holding thingy back in at all...just leave a nice m6 x 45 odd in there jkeepping that belt just where u want it.

Righty the T30 will not tension the belt so don't need to think anbout that.

The tensioner even when slack means the belts a tightish fit, do the halfway on the sprokets like I mentioned.

Also stick the car in 4th gear and get the 15mm socket ready, the socket to turn the cams and then you can turn the road wheel so the bottom end moves to take up the slack to enable the belt to go over the exhaust cam.

I often don't bother with the hole cos its an arse and some bolts just don't screw right in, they go so far but then stop they look perfect but the next bolt along on the camcover goes in perfectly. Grab the tensioner with your hand and pull it, make sure theres no slack in the belt between the inlet and crank, turn the disc to tension it. A good pull and a nip up[ of the nut should get the thing set, then if your a winp you can use a bit more leverage, it will be easier as the belt will not be flappign about due to slack.

If you want to get that T30 out then you will have to remove the head or the engine to do it.

Cheers Chris, managed to get the belt on before I saw that, but silly question, what disc do I turn to tension it?

brake disc when its in gear so the bottom end moves and takes up the slack.

Can't just just slap the aux pulley on and turn the bolt? Also, i've put the belt on, put aux pulley back on and turned the engine over that way, once i've turned it over once or twice the white line markings have drifted out exactly 13 teeth on each of the cams,(and the crank too probably) yet the engine still turns over, this is the second time its done this...

yes you can, but I find it easier to do it by the wheel that way I can see if the crank pulley has gone out of alignment without having to unbolt the pulley.

The white lines will go out of line, use your loaf boy!

Just make sure the cam pulleys and the crank pulley still line up with the marks on the engine.

Right, i can 'just'' about turn the belt 90 degrees between the aux pulley and the tensioner, cant do it properly cos I can't get me hand down there. Can turn the belt some 40 50ish degrees between inlet cam and the indler. And i can move the belt up and down between the cams about 0.7cms up or down , almost 1.5cms (about half an inch) from top to bottom. Is me tension about right? Should I worry if its a little too tight..?
