what are you trying to do to the radio murph? |
Oh Chris! The car came with a dead radio and nothing on the display. The guy told me his kids had put money inside it. I thought a quick swap with an eBay replacement would sort it but nooooo. I got a display from the breakers but no good. Ended up going back to breakers today and pulling radio/display/remote/loom and trying it all in my car in his yard. It came alive looking for the code so I used a process of elimination and it was the display all along (ie, the first one I got from the breakers was also knackered). Replaced it today and back in business thank God. I was getting fed up with it. The renault radio setup is all over the place-every radio I'e seen had a different part number, even the wiring looms and displays (which look identical) have different numbers for no apparent reason. Anyway all in all a cheap enough restoration of the factory original audio system which is what I wanted (Renault wanted €269 + VAT for the display alone!! yikes!!). Sorted for €20 for displays and €20 for replacement radio. Not too bad |
