well i fitted the proper ph1 back box on.
The old one was past it, extreme heat cycles won't have helped!

its legal, 16v steelie to.
some dodgy sabre remould, still its done over 130mph and stayed in 1 piece!
stuck it on the laguna earlier to go down with the wheels |

yes and truck tyres get remoulded too.
I'm sure there perfectly safe but I just wouldnt use them. |

they have to pass the same tests as new tyres, so they are just as safe, in a lot of cases more so.
but I wouldn't use them as I can get toyos cheaper than remoulds! |

As expected from my beast the calipers etc were all free to slide on theior sliders and the pistons were free as well.
So wound em in slapped em all on and now its quieter cos there was a dodgy bearing on it. |

I assume you mean the shiny trim? Thats how ph1 exhaust's come from the factory. |

nah its a walker, the other one was a bosal.
the real renault one is 140 quid and is a tad wider and fills the gap in the bumper properly and is centred. |

i was gona say i thought they normally wider but thought it may just be me.
i got a second hand one for my ph2,cost me a tenner and 30 for fitting it..hat to cut it a bit to fit properly..rest of the system is SS..Tailpipe looked cack and soundes like a typical saxo!!hasd to go.
do the reno ones come with the chrome tailpipes too. |

yes thats standard the shiny bit, its not chrome.
Only ph1's came with shiny bits.
Apart from the ph2 hatch which only the early ones came with a shiny tip |

only the 16V's came with the pipe shiny.
ph2 chamade 16V's have the exhaust exiting under the bumper so you can't see it. |

managed to scrape 30 quid together with help of my sister for workign on her flat so its mot'd untiul the 28th of may 2007. As expected sailed through.
526 miles or summat since the last ticket. |
