After re-reading... i think it could be the crank sensor too. |

ended up calling out the rac. after trying everything i had yesterday he got the multimeter out. lol
found that the injectors were only getting 10v so he traced the problem to the injector earth which had broken off.
this must have been touching the block thus allowing the car to run but after driving a little distance it lost its connection and stalled the car.
problem fixed though now so i'm happy.
cheers for all your replies though guys. |

I thought you rest the ECU by locking and unlocking the doors with the plip? |

u reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting it, with everything closed (doors, boot, bonnet) you plip the doors locked then plip them unlocked
this does not apply to the 'D' Revision ECU thou, you just disconnect and reconnect the battery. |

oh indeed i am.
there is several different versions of the ECU for the 19 16v, clio 16v and megane 2.0 16v
No need to worry about them thou unless you are thinking of 'superchipping' them. |

right, just to round things off.
the engine loom was fine, but i changed it anyway for a nice new one. the problem still persisted.
so in his infanate wisdom, chris sudgested the iggnition switch. (huh?? I hear you say) but once swapped over the car was fine. lol
so all that work and lack of trans port for a broken barrel. |
