That's the one JB but we were talking about the possibility of using the 19 16v mounts as that would potentially allow him to do away with the side mount all together thus allowing him full access to the Verniers. The only problem is that (As Chris pointed out) he'd have to use all the 19 mounts to avoid the engine being at differing angles/levels. |

lol!
anyway....
yeah i agree, both front bottom 19 mounts would be needed. bastard is ive just pulled the F7P out of my spare clio, so i cant do an "in-situ" gander! already established the 19 mount bracket that goes behind the PAS mount canr be used, so it would mean making a 'flat' one.
Chris, like JB says, its a hassle having to remove the sidemount/pulley cover every time i want to adjust the cam timing. thats why i was wanting to make an 'open' one.
curiously, there is a slot in the clio subframe, kinda where the 19 mount would go...fecking Renaults! |

get your hands on a gtt mount Craig as its taller and should work better than a 19's.
Also you will need a 19's P/S bracket.
Either that or cable tie it to the subframe, always works |

If i use the 19 PAS bracket, will that not make the engine too bulky at the front i.e. it might not fit? i thought thats why they re-designed it for the clio...
wots the GTT mount like? how do u mean taller? just trying to picture it...!
my plan at the mo is to use JB's spare mount and its bracket for dimmensions to make a 'flat' bracket so i can retain the clio PAS mounting. obviously this will require some attention to re-strengthening, as on the OE the pressed in folds give it strength |

dunno but if it doesn't then a suitable hammer will make it fit.
you need to use the 19's alt belt set up. |

looks a lot easy with that removeable slam panel
ive had a little run in this motor....and even on the 1.8 map, far from ideal, you can feel this is goin to be impressive. |

Didn't quite look at all the piccys, but impressive to say the least.
What made you go for the 710 over the 700 then Stan? Seems like you've sunk a lot of time and effort into it, glad to see it's paying off for you fella! |

710 has the megane head=better torque (smaller ports, high vels, parrallel entrance etc etc). also makes it better suited to larger valves. and i couldnt have bought a willy lump for 150 beans!! |
