Mick sent me the latest version of the chip a couple of days ago and i fitted it today.
the immobliser problem with my version of ECU has been sorted, idle has been sorted and on a brief run round the block noticed an improvement in the cars response.
i will be testing it more fully later when the test track is not so busy.
so to date including the updated version for my ECU, it looks as thou Mick's chips are pretty much sorted for all types of ECU. |

No, they have no faults those ones, Mick is selling them at half price to get interest in them again, he only uses one username, pennyduck.
not looking for anyone else to test chips at the mo, thanks for the interest thou, also please note, these chips are nothing to do with me, i've just been helping out test and sort the problems with them. |

Whats the verdict of the tests so far?
Have you noticed a difference in performance?
Has anyone done an emissions check after installing?
If it sends them over the edge then a standard ECU will be needed for MOTs |

find out the type of ECU you have Huw, See my progress report for my type of ECU, if yours is the same then u need the chip i have. if not then the one Mick is selling on ebay should do the job.
As for emissions, this chip does some jiggery pokery so that at partial throttle openings lambda sensor is operational so emissions are met come MOT time.
i would suggest that for any more info you email Mick, mention that you are a member of RR and have seen my reports on the chip. |

Been quite busy at work so only just getting around to sorting the rear caliper on the chamade, but
Installed the chipped ECU - thanks Neo would have been far to fiddly for me!
Car starts and idles fine, no problems. Everything seems to be working electrical wise. Checked the limiter, its not 7000 anymore i reved around to about 7500 still no limiter.
I will do more tests once I have brakes again! |

is it not a bit dangerous to not have a limiter anymore ???? it sounds like it will push the engine a tad.
also did you notice any extra torque at low revs ,whats the 0-60mph acceleration like ?????
come on people you have been testing these chips for long enough to give us some info |

I've just fitted one of these chips in my ECU, but the car wont start - no spark from the coil - does this sound like an immobliser problem?
Many thanks in advance
Matt (Terrastudios). |
