the later alarm/immob is cat2 which they will be asking for.
You will not get anything from renault as its not an immobilser really, just a key operated switch |

Yeah anyway, back on topic.
How would I go about removing the alarm?.
It's getting annoying now, didn't start after work so I was stuck in McDonalds car park at 7pm on a Friday with a dead car...how crap. |

Oh btw. It does it with the alarm on or off and if I bump start it, it will start, even if it seems immobilised. |

rip it out.
Bin the thing, more hassle than its works, seen plenty with melted wires.
I dunno about you but cremation in a 20 quid clio isn't my ideal way to go!
It could be anything from a dicky immob connection thats jolted when it bump starts, or dodgy dstarter/starter connections not allowing to spin up to the threshold crank speed. If it doesn't spin fast enough then it won;t spark or inject. |

Cremation in a £20 Clio?...wtf?
Starter motor does sound a bit...harsh to say the least. So I just unplug the alarm and unblot it and it will start fine?.
Sounds too simple buddy. Care to explain some more please. |

alarm, installed badly, all are. They can and do catch fire. Trapped in a shit clio and being burned to death not the best way to go.
I have pulled many out with melted wires which would have eventually gone up.
pull the alarm out, like said you need to remove trim etc its not hard.,
grow a brain, best advice I'll give to anyone. |

When the top wire comes off the starter moter It wont even spin, however it will bumpstart. Sometimes the spade conectors become loose and cause this problem.
When mine did I thought my clifford was playing up but it turned out to just be that. All i did was force the conector back on an bend it up slightly. I've had no problems since.
Not to say this is your problem but it is common on 19's and before I ripped out my alarm/imobiliser I'd check that first.
(Using my brain and that) |
