So an encolsed one like that £99 one will just get dirty quicker and is dangerous for driving through puddles? Man I give up with air filters. Think I'll just mount the engine outside the car. That'll cool the fucker down |

I didn't think the turbine bit actually span? Cuz what would that acheive? I thought it was stationery and then the air blowing through it is forced to spin in a kind of whirlwind to create more pressure.......or.......er......something? |

As promised, here's some pics of the relocation of the PiperX IK on our 19.

Oh, and some random ones of the mixed colour interior of the car. Notice anything out of place Thankfully it's being painted as blue, black and grey don't mix!

There might have been a slight increase but i tell you what, she fookin motors now she's getting cold air and the noise... lets say people now turn and pay homage to the Astra/Golf looking black thing
It's funny though as the pipe gets warm no more than 1 inch from where it meets the rubber which is bang on where the IK used to sit. The rest of the inlet is nice and cold but i'm planning on putting a thermometer in there similar to those on the wing mirrors and rigging it up to the cabins external temp display so you can see how warm the inlet air temp is. |

Well it seems to do the job a whole lot better than the IK bolted on the end of the TB and as said before, it roars now making people turn and look all confused as to what type of car it really is? We've been asked what model Astra, Golf or (as Chris has once said it looked like) Escort it is |
