Nope, no luck, tried smacking the ball joint about lots, no go. The speedo still wont come out, which I think means the rear bracket wont come off over it, and the sub frame still wont drop anymore than it has. Things aint looking good.....again... |

Were, i've got the clutch off, all the friction meterial has been stripped! and DAMN, those alllen bolts are on tight!! And here's what you've been waiting for; PICS!
First: The clutch Old and New
Second: The box and Fly
Third: The old friction plate...whats left of it
Fourth: Old pressure plate, looks a 'little' scroched?
Fifth: Some of the only friction material I could find
Also, during taking the clutch off, the rear bracket fell off! |

u used a clutch allignment tool to line the friction plate up correctly? otherwise the input shaft will not go into the splines on the friction plate no matter hpow hard u try.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone have any ideas why the clutch just went like that? |

it had over heated, hard driving thus slip had caused it to over heat then when he got to 3rd gear the clutch lining just blew apart.
When clutches go its usually during a change as the lining is no longer clamped in.
When I blew my sisters the clutch plate lost bits of metal like Chets did. |
