get the rods close, they don't have to be exact as they can be sorted.

make sure they are true though

Yea the ones in the ph2 lump are fine as are the other 3 on the ph1, i dont know what caused it to bend in the 1st place.

When i rebuilt the head i did not that piston4 was lower than all the others by 1-3mm asked me dad and he said it would be fine.

but when it ran, no rattles or anythiing, which made me wonder why it siezed on idle.

the one lower is not fine, that is a major issue.

I am clearing otu the sdheds lookign for bits to sort this ph2 out, I uncovered project M's bottom end, the one that ran then siezed then ran when cooled off, also it knocked a6t higher revs. Well piston number 2 is about 1mm lower than the 3 and when running it will go 1mm higher.

So the bigs ends away on that.

I will eventually get that stripped down for a hgander but not today.

i havce got pics will put em up in a wee while.

yea that was the ph1 engine that the piston was lower, and thats the bent conrod i showed a while back. The con rod was bent and oil starvation piston no.4, but it was bent when i stuck the head on the 1st time.but i cant find out why it bent in the 1st place.

hydro locked at some point is the most obvious scenario.
