we had this before chet.
Its miles out at lower speeds but a lot closer at high speeds.
ALso the 148mph was calculated using toyo's measurements from their site and the gearboxes ratios and the assumption that the limiter is at exactly 700rpm. I even put the maths up when I done it.
So get eating your hat and banana. That article roddy sent you says the one they tested under read, mine over reads about 6mph under the ton. |

I need my license too much to be fannying about doing 140+ mph
Not so much an issue if you're not allowed to drive anyway |

what you do is use plastic padding and wire mesh for bodywork and after you have cut the badge out (hopefully it stays in one piece, mine didnt it broke into four pieces) you turn it around then apply a blob off PP on each side and place the mesh across, leave to dry, then what i did is build the edges up on the front side and again left it to dry, then it was strong enough to fill the front edge (alot of filling and sanding to get the shape) i then put the grill back onto the car again for some sanding and shape building to get the shape you see now
i was my first attempt at any body work and it was a breeze as long as you put time and effort into your prep your laughing now all i have to do is prime, spray and laquer, spoiler is begin sprayed first, more pics soon |
