yes i took two bolts out from that side and removed a thinner plate between the block and the plate on the pic. so those bolts were holding two plates
?
damm...

had another look on it ,that silver plate does not seem to be moving ,in fact it s a part of the block .i removed this bit after taking those bolts of
i cant see anything else there to be removed ??? what plate were you on about chris? |

my mistake, yes thats the retaining plate.
Have you got the seal out yet? the one I told you to remove? |

i removed the orange circle thing yes ,prised it out with a screw driver. |

belt the cam with a hammer.
Hit each end in turn, when it shifts a bit, put wd-40 on it then tap it back the other way and repeat. Should free off to turn and slide out. |

chipped and broke a bit of the cam hitting with the hammer .almighty power that is ,i told you.
still could not get the bloody cam out .looks like those two hydrolic lifter thingies are holding the cam somehow .

tap it back and forth then rotate it. The cams fecked now anyway so belt away at it, watch your eyes. |

done enough tapping ,it does not work !!!
in fact i am not playing anymore
used a bolt to go inside the threads of the cam shaft tightened it all the way and tried to turn the cam over tha way but managed to brake the threaded hole this time . the cam did not move a mm. |

I could be in China, thats further away.
Thing is a torsion bar doesn't move. A camshaft rotates its whole life so I woudl say its easier to free off something that spins than something that slides into place back in 92! |

I could be in John O'Groats or Dunnet head which is technically the most northerly point of mainland britain I have pics of it too. |
