All free to view channels, E4 and all that stuff.
My sister bought it about 18 months ago. She couldnt; get a pic with it so gave it to amber and me.
we got 6 months out of it or so.
When it worked it was great, I watched cable and my channels (disco etc) Amber watched her channels, E4 mainly.
A few nights ago it stopped working.
I thought transformer, tonight had a look at it.
I pulled the transformer apart, it was very easy!
I first smelled the burnt parts then saw them

Thsi seems to be a very common failing with pacific goods, on free serve etc theres a lot of them being given away as faulty. I reckon 99% of them have dud transformers.
Its a 6v, 1.5A DC output, the pin size isn't common either.
So summary when it works its great, well worth it assuming you live in a good strong signal area.
However it may die due to a dicky transformer, it had started to melt the inside of the casing, not yet visable on the outside of the plug. So theres a potential fire hazard issue there.
Fair enough its cheap stuff but I think its reasonable to expect the transformer to be safe.
My sister just got 2 new one sfor her flat and my mums, So I am gonna see if the transformers are the same and if they are glue the dodgy one back together and get a replacement. |

i got cable tv as part of my broadband internet package, two boxes for the price of one, so i have one in the front room and one in my bedroom.
never thought i would use them that much to be honest but when channels like bravo show Buck Rogers and Dukes of Hazzard and UKTV G2 showing reruns of top gear, discovery channel with american chopper and american hot rod, i find myself watching quite a bit of telly nowadays |

worth the money you lose?
Don't see that myself.
everyoen forgets it costs to put it into auction when you buy it you have the indemnity fee on top etc etc |
