My valver keeps over heating. The water level is ok and doesn't leak anywhere so it doesn't need topping up regularly. Any ideas on what it could be?

So you have a full sump of oil, you also have a full water system thats not leaking.

Is the heater hot and does the rad fan come on?

Also what do you mean by overheating/ Does the engine sieze?

yes, you need a new engine... take the car straight to a Renault dealer and let them do it.

i think the new engine is about £125 + VAT, then theres labour which will be about £1100 - £1500

the car had an engine rebuild about 30,000 miles ago. this shouldn't happen should it if it had a rebuild?

so would a rebuild not solve the problem?

it might, but the rebuild costs £130 + VAT for the parts and about £1600 for labour, so may as well have the new engine
