Recently traded up to one of these from a fiver, it's great - hardly any bigger yet when you go into a shop you can get twice as much stuff for it.

My decision to trade up was due to the fact that the fivers I'd previously owned didn't last very long, but it seems these problems haven't really been sorted with the more up-market tenner, I foolishly thought that being twice the value it would last twice as long but it's proving not to be the case.

Still I only paid £10 for it so can't complain too much!

Considering a twenty next but am still a bit worried about longetivity Very Happy

I had a £1 note yesterday, eventually I managed to get rid of it at a petrol station.

is it an up north thing, coz I've never seen a £1 note (unless u count in a museum!!)

dunno never tried.

everyone who gets a £1 note gets rid of it asap.

that one has pink on it cos theres a wee letter on the back of it written as always by a woman to me, aww.

Yes England and Wales do have to accept it as it is legal sterling tender.

i had one of them once..all the way down here...near london

but the bank took it off me...wich was nice

and gave my some nice shiny gold for it as well..

was really gutted when i found out it wasnt real gold Sad and only worth £1
