whats the trouble andy? shouldn't be a problem put disc one in and follow the instructions... but it might take 2-3 attempts why? I don't know it just does? you need quick time and java console. |

What are you trying to download? Do you mean run the program or download the program from the internet? |

re-install the 1st disc a few more times.
Took about 20 times for me to 1st install it then when it was removed next time I only had to reload it twice. |

Hi all, well tried again last night to no avail,i put the dialogysEDU disc in[disc 1] and it starts...i then clic installation then clic quit like it tells u to....then the screen closes. Now im lookin at my desktop.press start.......go-to run then browse...............clic on english then clic java download.......Java then installs. all ready got acrobat reader 6.0/quicktime9...so now to the second disc [dialogysPR]put disc into tray........pc reads for about 6 secs then nothing.....so back to run/browse/clic on installPC.......bingo......disc starts.get to load min or max clic max ......starts to download..........once it gets to 30/30 a message comes up conserning fatal exception 19/30 [this number does vary somtimes ]Java.io.IO e Java 47 something wrong with java maybe......then clic done then same with 3rd disc.......
On desktop i now have a shortcut for dialogys .........clic on that ,bar then opens to full screen.........................but blanc .....empty.........not a sausage.
ive even up dated java still no joy
im running ME which should be fine........do i have to change any any settings anywhere so my pc can read the JAVA SCRIPT off of the disc ......because to me that seems to be where the problem is but i dont know my way around the workins ...............
maybe just maybe theres a pc wizz on here who also loves 19'''''''''''''''''s ............oooh changing the subject someones ofered me 18's for the valver...............£100..............temp ting

Dialogys really is a steaming pile of shite mate. Even when you get it running after several dozen (identical) installs, its barely fathomable where to find the information youre looking for.
dont get 18s... performance will be killed and tyres are £££...even more so than 17s |

If you give me the full error message(s) - the Java.IO. etc ones - you get when you are loading dialogies I might be able to figure out wtf is going wrong for ya
Well I bloody well should be able to since I have been writing Java programs for 5 years but then again...
Cheers

thats normal Andy, reinstall the 1st disc again and see if it loads.
Dialogys are ok, for part numbers and prices but theres noinfo on the cars themselves really. |

Yeh they have a few vaguely useful exploded diagrams in the parts section I reckon, but not much else.
I still haven't quite figured out why dialogies needs quicktime installed, as there doesn't seem to be any quicktime content anywhere in it! I had to fiddle with my puter to get dialogies to work, and that was all down to ferking dialogies not looking for the quicktime java library in the right place.
PS You got it installed yet andy? |

It certainly should do Johnny - there isn't any reason why it shouldn't, but I haven't tested it. Having said that, it should work reliably on Windows XP but it didnt first time I installed it...
Give it a try and see what happens I think is the only way to find out I'm afriad. |
