Have got a meg 1.6e RT.

Over the last few weeks (incidentallt ever since the colder wether started closing in) the meg has started to mis-behave. Feels a little off when accelerating, when u take you foot off the gas instead of the revs just dropping it kangeroos madly, get slightly better when its warm but is still there, its really beginning to piss me off now, its probable worse due to the front engine mount needing replacement (doing it soon).

My thoughts - plugs or coil packs? Coil packs might have been heat damaged by saggy bonnet insulation(ripped off v soon after I got the car) and constant driving (car is now at 83k) plugs were supposed to be new 13k ago when i bought the car but I suspect weren't. I've done the leads since, and cleaned the air temp sensor, throttle body, idle control etc.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

replace the plugs then see what happens.

Old knackered plugs will kill the coils btw.

Also hesitant under acceleration in low gears sometimes, was thinking this could be a mixture issue??

was a rite bugger this morning, in 1st and 2nd slowing down while in gear it was jumping like a rite bitch.
