Dont think ive ever mentioned this before but one of my other main interests besides cars is mountain biking. Heres a few shots of my 'current' steed:
for anyone who has a clue what im on about, its an Orange Patriot LT (classic british made UK downhill frame), full XT chainset, Marzocchi Z1MCR (QR20 hub fitting) forks, Hope C2 185mm discs front and rear, hope bulb hubs, mavic D521 rims. etc etc.
This bike has now been sold . Ive hurt myself many times downhill on it, and anyway my preference has turned to x-country with a bit of mucking around in between, which it is too heavy for. Will be getting one of these in time for spring, the Cove Stiffee FR:
My old Giant ATX1:
anyone else like bikes? |

I used to be into them big style.
Orange, nice.
I had a Kona cindercone (I think) for a while and had a few hybrids with merlin frames etc.
Not ridden in years.
Nice bike.
Never was a fan of full suspension bikes. Front yes not rear. |

I used to be well into mountain biking. I used to ride cross-country, and go round the mountains by my (lake district)....cracking stuff. then i got more into motocross....you cant beat a good crosser for that speed buzz! I had a '96 CR500 up untill last year.....what a tool! i could cruise at around 10mph in 5th, wind the throttle back and it would just lift up!! acceleration was phenominal, the only problem was keeping the front end down.....which i had difficulty doing. It even lifted up with my 6'2'' 16stone mate on it!! |
