Hi guys,
Well after being without a car for a few weeks, and a new (well second hand) engine later. Guess what.
It's still got the same frickin problem.
It's not got low compression on any cylinders like the old lump, but still cuts out when i put my foot on the clutch.
When the car is at running temp, i stop at a junction (or any where) put my foot on the clutch (as one does) and the engine cuts out.
What the fuck is wrong with my car!!!!
Cheers

It is.
I had the garage who did my mot setup it up with the pulse gun thing for the idle, and the computer gas thing for the mixture.
Any way. It is fine when it's cold. It will only do it when it's warm. |

fiver says its the carb.
I assume it happens when your driving then dip the clutch, but when your standing still and rev it it settles down ok? |

Maybe they adjusted the carb when it was cold instead of waiting 15mins for it to warm up properly. Would seem logical if you are a garage - you wouldn't necessarily want to wait around for the car to warm up before working on it. |

could be to low a float level (floods when hot, may have probs hot starting without thottle to clear it) etc.
Partially blocked idle circuit blah blah |
