Hi, is it possible to remove the cat and replace it with a hollow unit without it interfering with the engine management or anything else. My previous valver had a straight through scorpion exhaust which was de catted. This had been done prior to me buying the car. Can anyone help please. |

Yup, just take the cat off and stick a decat on, simple job. Only problem you may encounter are rusted bolts. |

it won't affect the way the car runs aside from better response and a tad more power.
Only cars with twin lambdas, 1 before and 1 after the cat will change the way the car runs. Even then most only put the light on but don't change the way the car runs.
Ahh the joys of emmisions compliance. euro 2005 has now been met and i am not altogether sure what the next emmisions aim is. |

Steady on, you got your answer didnt you!
It is standard practice on here once a thread has been answered or outlived its usefulness for it to degenerate into banal discussions and puerile jokes.
Thats the way it is ok!
